📋 Description
• Provide leadership to the daily CDM maintenance workflow • Monitor alignment of various entities to standard policy for maintaining the CDM • Ensure timely and accurate synchronization of data between the CDM and management tools • Conduct meetings to evaluate department charge processes to improve charge capture and coding compliance • Coordinate with various departments on technology projects impacting charge entry • Provide data for management and support of critical decisions related to Chargemaster and CDM Maintenance • Respond to inquiries regarding Chargemaster issues and supervise education for clinical revenue generating staff • Work closely with revenue auditors on research and resolution of requests • Perform maintenance to the Keck Medical Center of USC Charge Description Master
🎯 Requirements
• Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or similar/related field • Certification from an accredited program of Certified Coder (CPC/CCS/COC) or Certificate of Auditing (CPMA) within one year from date of hire • 5 years of experience in the healthcare field • Experience with inpatient and outpatient billing requirements (UB-04) and CMS Medicare reimbursement methodology • Knowledge of government and third-party payer reimbursement methodology • Proficient skills and knowledge in MS Office/ Windows
