📋 Description

• Perform in-field preventative maintenance and repair services for mission-critical backup systems across various UPS brands and sizes • Analyze, test, and troubleshoot complex UPS problems • Provide technical support, problem diagnosis, and resolution • Assist with turnkey projects, battery replacements, system installation, and start-ups • Perform Major Preventative Maintenance and Minor Preventative Maintenance according to scopes of work • Submit accurate and timely Field Service Reports for all service activity • Replace capacitors, fans, and batteries according to specifications • Interpret or learn to interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams • Repair equipment using electronics knowledge, standard test instruments, and hand tools • Provide UPS start-up and commissioning • Maintain customer and vendor relations • Identify additional service or equipment opportunities through customer relationships • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Prior experience working in the field/field service work preferred • Experience with electronics or an electronic background • Ability to read and understand electronic one-line drawings preferred • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively solve customer problems • Ability to work under pressure and multitask • Commitment to consistent and quality customer service • Proficient with Microsoft Office software and ability to learn additional business applications • Team player committed to success with a positive attitude and strong work ethic • Must be able to travel • Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license • Must be able to pass drug testing upon hire • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Detail-oriented and highly organized • Able to prioritize, multitask, and work independently • Client-focused, with a sense of pride and urgency • Ambitious and adaptable to change • Maintain 24/7/365 availability; occasional weekend work and overnight travel required
