• Perform railroad track inspection operations at customer sites • Use measurement tools, troubleshoot electronics, and operate computers • Interpret railroad documents to derive train speed information • Review and analyze track measurement data for reporting • Operate hi-rail commercial motor vehicles • Perform vehicle maintenance on rail survey cars and hi-rail vehicles • Conduct housekeeping for safety and sanitation aboard government-owned survey vehicles • Routinely travel to and work onboard railroad track inspection vehicles • Represent ENSCO professionally at customer sites • Work a schedule of 3 continuous travel weeks followed by 1 week off • Travel independently to work sites and arrange vehicle rentals and hotels • Perform safety watch duties in a railroad environment
• Successful completion of a Public Trust background investigation • Must have resided in the United States for at least 3 of the past 5 years • Minimum of 3 years of relevant electrical, electromechanical, or mechanical experience involving troubleshooting and problem resolution, or a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with 1 year of experience • Experience with workplace safety programs • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook • Experience reading electrical or electronic schematics and wiring diagrams • Experience conducting equipment/machinery inspections and equipment upkeep • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, network file transfers, copying, and pasting • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Proficiency with tape measures and similar measuring tools • Functional knowledge of mathematics and fraction measurements • Valid driver's license • Ability to travel independently for business purposes, including booking vehicle rentals and hotel accommodations • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. at least 150 feet • Ability to climb a 15-foot ladder • Ability to work in close quarters, inclement weather, and shifts of 12 hours or longer • Ability to perform as a safety watchman in a railroad environment • Passing a Federal pre-employment drug test • Passing random drug and alcohol testing while performing duties • Passing an e-RAILSAFE security background check, including financial status • Passing online railroad safety exams • Required to wear railroad safety equipment • REAL ID-compliant identification or acceptable alternative may be required for federal facility access
