📋 Description

• Support the Department of Veterans Affairs Meds by Mail pharmacy program • Process prescription orders and perform prescription data entry • Review and process external prescriptions • Provide pharmacy-related call center triage • Perform pharmacy clerical and administrative functions • Communicate therapeutic change requests to provider offices • Communicate with patients and caregivers regarding medication use within the authorized scope • Enter and maintain information in pharmacy information systems • Follow VA policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures • Protect patient information and comply with HIPAA, privacy, and information-security requirements • Complete VA orientation, training, and competency assessments • Work under supervising VA pharmacist verification; make no independent clinical decisions

🎯 Requirements

• Current Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification OR National Healthcareer Association (NHA) pharmacy technician certification • High school diploma or equivalent • Ability to read, understand, speak, and write English fluently • Strong computer and data-entry skills • Ability to navigate pharmacy information systems and accurately complete electronic documentation • Ability to successfully complete required VA credentialing and onboarding • Ability to successfully complete required background investigation • Must live within 50 miles of Cheyenne, WY; Dublin, GA; Chelmsford, MA; Hines, IL; Lancaster, TX; Ladson, SC; Shawnee, KS; Murfreesboro, TN; or Tucson, AZ • Maintain all required certifications and credentials • Perform duties within the scope of Pharmacy Technician certification and applicable law
