📋 Description

• Manage day-to-day internal accounting, accounts payable, and cash management • Direct organization-wide cash flow management processes • Track revenue and expenses and provide quarterly reconciliations for staff leadership • Support development and presentation of financial analyses and performance to the Executive Team, Board of Directors, funders, and other stakeholders • Manage internal financial systems, including Bill.com and Rippling Spend • Oversee monthly budget-versus-actual reporting and collaborate with Program staff on projections • Support the annual budgeting process • Collaborate with the Donor Engagement team on financial reports for donors, grants, and donor-facing materials • Collaborate with People & Culture to ensure accurate compensation and deductions and timely payroll activities • Implement and monitor systems for tracking employee hours • Triage complex payroll-related issues • Oversee the expense policy while maintaining compliance with GAAP principles • Perform other duties as assigned • Travel to staff events and conferences as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Experience directly managing an annual portfolio of projects and budgets of at least $1 million • Demonstrated understanding of GAAP standards for nonprofit organizations • Understanding of compliance regulations regarding 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) management • Proven ability to communicate across diverse audiences and stakeholders regarding financial initiatives and principles • Track record of successfully managing accounts payable systems and ensuring timely, accurate payments • Software literacy in SageIntacct and Bill.com • Rippling Spend experience helpful but not required • Ability to work within deadlines and maintain financial systems and procedures • Great attention to detail • Aptitude with Excel/Google Sheets • Experience with nonprofit finance • Must be eligible to work lawfully within the United States upon commencement of employment • Organization does not sponsor visa applications • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID19 with all recommended vaccines • Cultural competence to work with diverse staff, partners, and stakeholders
