• Conduct turnkey educational grant development followed by content development for awarded grants • Identify and establish ongoing grant development opportunities through investigation, analysis, and relationships with expert faculty • Complete high-quality scientific and medical writing and oversee project deliverables • Conduct literature reviews of clinical trials, peer-reviewed articles, clinical guidelines, and other medical/scientific sources • Develop needs assessments, grant proposals, accurate content, program titles, learning objectives, agendas, and formats • Identify publishing opportunities • Develop abstracts for scientific posters and podium presentations at medical meetings • Develop journal articles for peer-reviewed publications • Design and develop continuing education activities and research-informed initiatives for interprofessional healthcare teams • Apply adult learning expertise to grant development, program design, development, and evaluation • Collaborate with colleagues, departments, and stakeholders to execute educational products and services • Develop educational designs, formats, and execution plans to address unmet educational and research needs • Establish and maintain relationships with healthcare key opinion leaders to gather expert opinions and educational needs • Contribute to outcomes measurement, including measurement planning, survey instrument development, program analysis, and communication of findings • Develop scientific articles, abstracts, outcomes-based presentations, and publications • Communicate opportunities, needs, ideas, and timelines to support department and company goals • Identify and resolve instructional design issues and provide timely recommendations to the Therapeutic Group Director, Scientific Affairs • Review medical content developed by writers and freelancers and provide guidance or revisions • Participate in decisions regarding PRIME’s learning model and implementation procedures • Participate in Scientific Affairs meetings, including grant and content planning meetings • Report directly to the Therapeutic Group Director, Scientific Affairs • Perform other duties as assigned
• Minimal Master’s degree in a scientific, medical, or related field commensurate with the scope of work identified in this job description; PhD or PharmD degree preferred • Prefer minimum of 4 years of experience in designing and developing continuing medical education (CME/CE) activities for healthcare professionals • Prefer experience in developing CME/CE activities supported by pharmaceutical companies and government contracts or grants • Prefer experience in training, project management and/or staff supervision in a team-based environment • Excellent ability to work independently and autonomously, and multi-task multiple high-level responsibilities and projects with accuracy and efficiency • Ability to independently research, design, and develop high-quality scientific grant and medical writing • Ability to independently complete literature review and review/analyze scientific/medical research • Ability to complete medical writing in accordance with AMA criteria and grant development procedures • Ability to organize and convey educational designs and deliverables efficiently, fluently, and accurately • Proficiency in analytical thinking and ability to convey complex data results clearly and concisely • Ability to gather data from verifiable sources for grant development • Creative and visionary skills to identify and execute innovative educational program designs and formats • Current knowledge of the healthcare industry, pharmaceutical pipelines, healthcare industry/policies, and CE industry • Experience developing content in specified disease areas, including oncology, diabetes, endocrinology, neurology, rheumatology, cardiology, ophthalmology, dermatology, respiratory, pain management, mental health, women’s health, gastroenterology, hepatology, infectious diseases, or immune mediated inflammatory diseases • Excellent English language skills, written and verbal • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and reference manager applications
