📋 Description

• Act as a senior people business partner to the CEO and executive team • Provide an independent perspective on organizational design, team composition, and succession • Pressure-test executive decisions and identify risks • Translate global policy and country employment law into practical options • Advise on restructures, exits, performance situations, grievances, and investigations across Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, and Tanzania • Assess when global standards should apply and when local context should influence implementation • Identify policy changes needed to improve business and people outcomes • Coach team members through interpersonal and cross-cultural dynamics • Design and facilitate sessions to unblock team progress • Shape messaging for restructures, policy changes, and leadership transitions • Edit and stress-test internal communications • Advise on communication timing and content

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in senior HR, people, or organizational development roles • Experience as a startup people leader, HR business partner to an executive team, or advisor to a CEO • Strong writing skills, including translating difficult people decisions into accepted communications • Ability to provide direct advice to senior leaders discreetly and independently • Alignment with Educate!’s Five Culture Tenets • Successful completion of standard background verification and safeguarding review in accordance with local legal standards
