📋 Description

• Set the technical direction for running, automating, and scaling the platform • Lead incident response for complex outages and identify true root causes • Drive durable fixes and improve runbooks • Participate in a weekly on-call rotation shared with three other engineers • Debug and troubleshoot across the technology stack • Keep engineering work documented and maintainable • Own CI/CD build and deployment pipelines • Own systems end-to-end, including architecture, design, optimization, and long-term maintenance • Champion AI and automation across operations • Build tooling and prototypes to eliminate repetitive manual work • Lead architecture discussions and design reviews • Drive adoption of new technologies and patterns • Partner across infrastructure, developer platform, and security • Set the technical vision and architectural runway • Mentor engineers and raise the team’s technical bar

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of SRE/DevOps/systems experience • Track record of owning and architecting production systems at scale • Strong coding ability across Python, Go, or Java; comfortable in Bash • Deep Linux and networking expertise, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/TLS • Strong AWS, Docker, and Terraform experience • Track record of setting technical direction and executing an architectural plan • Strong critical-thinking and troubleshooting abilities • Excellent communication skills • Prior architect or tech-lead experience preferred • Software development background preferred • Prior hands-on software engineering role preferred • Production container orchestration experience such as Nomad or Kubernetes preferred • Experience building AI-assisted tooling or platform automation preferred • Security and operational-hygiene depth preferred • Exposure to PCI or similar frameworks is a plus • Comfort spanning modern cloud and older established technologies • Bachelor's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience preferred • Must be able to work standard collaboration hours from 10:00am-3:00pm MT Monday-Friday; remaining hours aligned with and approved by manager
