📋 Description

• Own the reconciliation system across contracts sold, merchant invoicing, claims paid, and servicing reimbursements • Build automated tie-outs with alerting across inbound merchant data, operational databases, the analytics warehouse, accounting systems, and external reporting • Own invoicing logic and programmatic controls reflecting contracted commercial terms • Own financial data models, including contract revenue recognition and claims-cost logic, in the shared dbt repository • Review and approve changes to financial reporting logic under platform standards for tests, PR review, and change control • Partner with Merchant Integration and Data Engineering on merchant configuration, mapping audits, and downstream expense and contract attribution • Own exception and reconciliation-break processes, including triage, resolution ownership, root-cause tracking, and detection-latency SLAs • Partner with Revenue/Go-to-Market on merchant escalations, billing questions, and deal structuring • Coordinate across Solutions Engineering, Product Engineering, Data Engineering, Finance, and Accounting • Prepare obligor, reinsurer, and audit reporting on contracts, liabilities, and claims • Partner with the Controller on review and presentation • Identify team needs and grow the team accordingly • Lead a team of individual contributors

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced SQL and dimensional data modeling • Experience owning, reviewing, and changing transformation logic behind financial reporting in Snowflake • Experience owning financial or analytical models in dbt (or equivalent) under version control • Experience with testing, PR review, CI, and controlled change of reporting logic • Python for data validation or reconciliation tooling is a plus • Experience designing order-to-cash systems and automated reconciliation controls at scale • Deep revenue recognition expertise, including multi-year service contracts • Ability to document and defend technical accounting positions with external auditors • NetSuite functional depth in billing, invoicing, and revenue • Knowledge of segment and subsidiary attribution and upstream system integrations • Strong written communication • Record of building alignment across Finance, Accounting, and Engineering partner teams • Prior experience leading individual contributors in a technical or analytics engineering function • Experience with merchant reconciliation, warranty or service contract programs, or obligor and reinsurer reporting is a bonus • Must not require immigration-related sponsorship for this role
