📋 Description

• Design and develop complex, detailed layouts of printed circuit boards • Collaborate on state-of-the-art designs for new or modified RF printed circuit boards • Establish design standards and configurations • Work from preliminary schematics, part lists, and basic board-function descriptions • Check design layouts and detailed drawings • Create PCB/PCBA designs using Altium software with mechanical and electrical input • Create schematics and modify them as directed by engineers • Create library symbols, footprints, and 3D drawings for components • Study PCB design trends and processes and evaluate and implement applicable processes at Ezurio • Conduct design feasibility studies for packaging, cost, manufacturing, and system performance • Perform complex CAD and CAE tasks • Ensure PCB designs follow design for test (DFT) and design for manufacturability (DFM) principles • Propose PCB design trade-offs to the engineering design team • Communicate with fabrication vendors regarding quotations and purchase requisitions and respond to engineering questions from PCB fabricators • Verify quality design requirements before releasing products to manufacturing • Apply impedance-control requirements and signal-integrity routing practices for electrical bus interfaces and RF circuits • Coordinate with Engineering, Test, Quality, and Manufacturing during PCB design and fabrication • Resolve PCB design issues with fabrication and manufacturing vendors • Contribute to PCB design specifications and standards, balancing product, electrical, manufacturing, and regulatory requirements to meet quality, cost, and schedule goals

🎯 Requirements

• Legal authorization to work in the US is required • Proficient hands-on use of Altium Designer for PCB layout, library management, and PCB design release • Experience with Cadence or Mentor PCB design tools is a plus • Ability to use mechanical CAD tools such as SolidWorks/AutoCAD is preferred • Ability to read schematics • Proficient working knowledge of PCB design best practices and applicable IPC standards, including IPC-2221, IPC-7351, IPC-A-600, and IPC-6012 • Knowledge of IPC-A-610 is preferred • Strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills • Bachelor's or technical degree required • Minimum of 5 years of related experience required • Experience in RF circuit PCB design is preferred
