• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and support vessel electrical systems, equipment, and associated infrastructure • Operate and maintain electrical systems according to company procedures and manufacturer recommendations • Maintain emergency lighting, batteries, emergency generators, and backup electrical systems • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance through the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) • Manage electrical spare parts, consumables, and operational stock levels • Coordinate troubleshooting and repair with the Chief Engineer and engineering personnel • Support maritime electrical safety requirements and the vessel Safety Management System (SMS) • Complete operational documentation, checklists, maintenance records, and risk assessments • Participate in emergency drills, safety meetings, and vessel readiness activities • Supervise personnel working on electrical systems, machinery, and associated equipment • Identify and report hazards, equipment deficiencies, and unsafe conditions • Coordinate with deck, engineering, survey personnel, clients, and supporting personnel • Support operational risk mitigation and continuous improvement initiatives • Perform additional duties supporting vessel operations and mission requirements
• Valid U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) and/or Electro-Technical Officer certification appropriate to vessel requirements • Valid STCW endorsements and required maritime certifications • Experience supporting electrical systems aboard operational vessels • Knowledge of marine electrical systems, emergency power systems, automation systems, and associated equipment • Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining vessel electrical and electronic systems • Knowledge of maritime safety procedures and electrical safe work practices • Ability to work rotational schedules in maritime environments • Strong communication, organizational, and technical problem-solving skills • U.S. citizenship required • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance • Ability to work in operational maritime and shipboard environments • Ability to climb ladders, access confined spaces, and work in physically demanding environments • Ability to support rotational or extended underway operations • Preferred: experience supporting government maritime operations or defense-related missions • Preferred: prior experience aboard offshore support vessels, research vessels, or similarly complex platforms • Preferred: experience in high operational tempo maritime environments • Preferred: prior military or government-contracted maritime experience • Preferred: experience supporting vessel automation, communications, or mission systems
