📋 Description

• Conduct virtual and on-site investigations at policyholders’ residences • Assess property damage, determine liability, evaluate loss extent, and negotiate fair settlements • Use claims-handling software, a company car, and laptop to determine damage and write estimates in a paperless environment • Evaluate and report potential subrogation opportunities • Report theft, fraud, or arson incidents to appropriate state and industry agencies • Work independently with duties directly impacting management outcomes • Represent the company professionally in public interactions • Engage with policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, contractors, law enforcement, fraud and arson investigators, attorneys, medical professionals, and other relevant parties • Negotiate with policyholders to settle claims • Perform additional assigned duties • Promote safety and comply with safety and ergonomic standards • Travel to and from policyholder homes in the Crosby, Dayton, and Liberty areas • Work in the field and an in-home office environment

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required • Excellent customer service experience, preferably in a retail environment • Construction or Insurance experience is highly desirable and preferred • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook • Proficiency with smartphones and applications • Eagerness to learn about insurance policies and property damage • Valid driver's license and bondable • Final candidates subject to a Motor Vehicle Record background check • Willingness and ability to climb ladders and work on rooftops multiple times per day • Ability to work in small, confined spaces such as attics and crawlspaces • Achieve a minimum passing score on all claims training exams • Ability to carry up to 50 lbs. • English speaking, reading, writing, and key entering abilities • Ability to work in varied and potentially hazardous field environments • Catastrophe-team hires must travel away from residence for approximately 23 days when deployed and commit to 1–3 CAT deployments per year
