📋 Description

• Conduct virtual and on-site investigations at policyholders’ residences • Assess property damage, determine liability, evaluate losses, and negotiate fair settlements • Use claims handling software, a company car, and a laptop to determine damage and write estimates in a paperless environment • Evaluate and report potential subrogation opportunities • Report theft, fraud, or arson incidents to appropriate state and industry agencies • Perform duties independently with work directly impacting management outcomes • Represent the company professionally in public interactions • Engage with policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, contractors, law enforcement, fraud and arson investigators, attorneys, medical professionals, and other relevant parties • Negotiate with policyholders to settle claims • Perform additional duties as assigned • Promote safety and comply with company safety and ergonomic standards • Travel away from residence for CAT deployments, usually for 23 days • Commit to 1–3 CAT deployments per year

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required • Excellent customer service experience, preferably in a retail environment • Construction or insurance experience is highly desirable and preferred • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Computer literacy: MS Word, Excel, and Outlook • Proficiency with smartphones and applications • Eagerness to learn about insurance policies and property damage • Outgoing personality and comfort interacting with policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, and fraud investigators • Valid driver's license • Bondable • Must reside within the Greater Milwaukee area • Must be willing and able to climb ladders and work on rooftops multiple times per day • Comfortable working in small, confined spaces such as attics and crawlspaces • Achieve a minimum passing score on all claims training exams • Ability to carry up to 50 lbs. • English speaking, reading, writing, and key entering required • Ability to perform bending, kneeling, pulling, pushing, sorting, climbing, reaching, standing, walking, and seeing • Final candidates subject to a Motor Vehicle Record background check • Must comply with safety and ergonomic standards
