📋 Description

• Assist attorneys in answering interrogatories • Interview clients and reduce answers to writing; review work with attorneys and prepare final answers • Obtain, review, and summarize medical records at trial attorneys’ direction • Arrange medical examinations • Assist attorneys in preparing motions and research related legal points • Assist attorneys in interviewing witnesses before and during trials as necessary • Assist attorneys in preparing trial documents and evidence • Perform other assigned legal support functions

🎯 Requirements

• Michigan Civil Litigation experience, including PIP, bodily injury, and UM/UIM work • High School Diploma or equivalent required • 2 year Associates Degree OR 3 years experience working as a Paralegal • Paralegal certificate or a degree in paralegal studies or the completion of at least one year of law school • One year experience working in a civil litigation law firm, preferred • Paralegal certificate from American Bar Association (ABA) approved program preferred • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, up to a full work shift • Ability to operate a computer continuously for extended periods, up to a full work shift • Physical dexterity to operate a keyboard and other office equipment repetitively • Pursuant to 18 U.S.C. Section 1033, cannot have a criminal felony conviction involving dishonesty or breach of trust without prior written consent from the state Department of Insurance
