📋 Description

• Facilitate on-site and/or virtual learning experiences for state FFA officers across assigned state associations • Facilitate conference curriculum and provide constructive feedback in a safe, supportive environment • Guide participants in positive influence, conversation skills, team development, public speaking, and workshop facilitation • Effectively facilitate groups of varying sizes, including groups over 20 with potentially two facilitators • Collaborate with state staff to develop conference schedules tailored to each association’s needs • Coordinate logistics and determine deliverables for assigned conferences • Coordinate corporate partner visits during conferences when assigned • Complete expense reports, expense vouchers, travel scheduling, and other administrative duties • Communicate consistently with national staff regarding conference changes and updates • Receive and implement feedback throughout the conference season • Participate in in-person facilitator training, winter pre-training work, and regular virtual coaching calls • Facilitate conferences lasting approximately 2–5 days, with assignments occurring throughout the year-long season

🎯 Requirements

• Valid driver’s license maintained throughout the season • Must pass an MVR screening upon hiring • Must pass a background check and drug screening upon hiring • Ability to perform the physical and mental demands of the position • Ability to work independently • Good interpersonal, listening, and verbal communication skills • Ability to prioritize, organize, and use time management skills • Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills • Computer literacy; ability to make and receive phone calls and use virtual meeting platforms • Confidence facilitating student groups • Ability to coach, evaluate, guide, and motivate students • Ability to manage planning tasks, including booking flights, reserving rental cars, scheduling calls, and developing conference schedules • Ability to establish deliverables with state FFA officers and state staff • Ability to work with diverse internal and external state FFA officers, state staff, and national staff • Willingness to spend extra time planning for each conference • Commitment to a minimum of 12 non-consecutive facilitation days during the year-long season • High school diploma earned • Preference for applicants with 2+ years planning and facilitating conferences/workshops or equivalent teaching experience • Preference for past state FFA officers and/or past national FFA facilitators • Completed application and resume • Facilitation video required for most applicants; 3–5 minutes, publicly uploaded to YouTube, demonstrating at least two facilitation components and rapport-building • Ability to attend required in-person facilitator training in Indianapolis, Indiana, for the full March 3–7 or March 4–7, 2027 period, depending on prior service • Completion of assigned preparation objectives during January, February, and March 2027 • Regular participation in virtual coaching calls throughout the season
