📋 Description

• Ensure invoicing documents conform to funder contract standards, company guidelines, US Government FAR, CAS and 2 CFR 200 regulations, and funder expectations • Read and interpret contractual billing terms and apply requirements and timelines • Perform intermediate-level billing activities for CPFF, T&M and Fixed Price projects and various customers • Prepare bills, reconcile invoices and complete NICRA rate adjustments using the financial billing system • Analyze incurred costs to determine billable costs and required supporting documentation • Identify and escalate invoice calculation errors and billing/payment issues and support or lead issue resolution • Reconcile project costs to billed costs and maintain systematic billing records • Prepare reports for financial reporting timelines • Reconcile funder-required report documentation to system-generated invoices • Create custom reports, maintain financial filing systems and upload invoices to shared storage • Submit timely and accurate invoices directly to funders or through online customer portals • Produce monthly reconciliations analyzing project and billing costs and explaining unbilled costs • Collaborate with program staff and external clients to provide accurate, timely and compliant invoices • Participate in special research and analytical projects for Contract Billing, AR & Revenue Recognition • Perform administrative support activities and other assigned duties • Report to a Manager

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or its International Equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a combination of education and experience in a related field • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in an accounting, finance, billing or related field • Experience in billing and knowledge of work breakdown structures • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and data entry / automated accounting systems • Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO) • Understanding of US Government FAR, CAS and 2 CFR 200 regulations • Advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access) • Strong analysis and problem-solving skills • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, prioritize and manage independent tasks under pressure • Ability to read contractual documents and interpret and apply financial billing, funding and reporting rules and regulations • Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in confidential matters • Ability to demonstrate ethical conduct and decision-making skills • Must be an independent worker who consistently meets tight deadlines • Ability to spend long hours looking at a computer screen and doing repetitive keyboard work • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time • Ability to lift or move up to 5 lbs. • All offers are subject to appropriate screening checks, including reference, criminal record and terrorism finance checks • Personnel must share FHI 360’s safeguarding commitment and sign its code of conduct
