The Alliance provides tools and programs to help organizations meet their sustainability goals and fosters collective action towards resilient ecosystems and improved farmer livelihoods.

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ This role supports Field to Market's Science and Technology department in the implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of the Fieldprint Platform. β€’ The Associate provides hands-on support for day-to-day Platform operations, working closely with internal team members and external technology and academic partners. β€’ The Associate also supports the broader Science and Technology team on presentations, meetings, and other department priorities, which may at times include contributions to science- and metric-related work. β€’ Serve as a first point of contact for incoming Fieldprint Platform support requests; triage, resolve, or route requests from project administrators, individual users of the Platform's web interface, and Qualified Data Management Partners (QDMPs) who connect to the Platform via API to support sustainability projects on behalf of Field to Market members. β€’ Manage and maintain the team's GitHub ticketing workflow, including triaging incoming requests, updating tickets, tracking status, and following up with stakeholders. β€’ Help track deliverables and follow-ups across existing tools (e.g., GitHub, Microsoft Planner), supporting visibility into team commitments without owning a formal project management function. β€’ Support the department with Field to Market's IT vendor and other partners including Colorado State University on back-end model integration, including capturing meeting notes and action items, tracking follow-ups, and supporting transition activities. β€’ Assist with testing new and updated Fieldprint Platform features, documenting findings, and communicating issues to the development team. β€’ Contribute to the Fieldprint Platform support portal by drafting, updating, and maintaining content related to technology and science topics. β€’ Support development of product documentation and contribute to the evolution of the product roadmap. β€’ Contribute to prototyping and exploration of new Platform features and tools as technical skills develop. β€’ Provide meeting support for the Science and Technology team and for the committees, working groups, and stakeholder engagements it leads β€” including scheduling, agenda development, note-taking, and follow-up tracking. β€’ Support development of presentations, reports, grant proposals, and other materials communicating Science and Technology work to internal and external audiences, including internal leadership, member meetings, and external conferences. β€’ Contribute to other Science and Technology team priorities as needed, which may include occasional support on science- and metric-related work. β€’ Provide support at Field to Market events, including the annual meeting.

🎯 Requirements

β€’ 1-3 years of relevant experience, including internships, co-op programs, applied coursework, or full-time work. β€’ Bachelor's degree required. β€’ Relevant fields include information systems, computer science, data science, agricultural systems management, agricultural or environmental engineering, sustainability, environmental science, or a related discipline. β€’ Working familiarity with agriculture, sustainability, or environmental systems through coursework, prior work, or applied experience. β€’ Demonstrated aptitude for new technical tools and platforms; comfort with software testing, ticketing systems (e.g., GitHub, Jira), and structured work management. β€’ Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to take clear notes, summarize technical discussions, and develop polished presentation materials. β€’ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to track multiple workstreams and follow through on commitments. β€’ Comfort working independently in a remote environment while collaborating across a small, cross-functional team. β€’ Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and in the everyday use of AI tools (such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) for research, drafting, summarization, and structured problem-solving, with the judgment to critically evaluate outputs. β€’ Familiarity with WordPress is a plus, as the Platform's support site runs on WordPress. β€’ Curiosity and willingness to grow into expanding responsibilities in product, technology, science, and the broader work of the Science and Technology team over this role's evolution. β€’ Occasional travel (estimated up to 20%) for team meetings, member conferences, and stakeholder events. Located within a two‑hour drive of a major airport.
