• Ensure new mortgage loan packages are processed and completed according to established policies and procedures • Maintain company standards for integrity, client focus, teamwork and respect • Meet or exceed company customer service standards • Maintain high customer service standards within pre-funding operations departments • Ensure integrity of data entered into company operating systems • Address service-related issues and coach and train team members on difficult situations and clients • Manage day-to-day activities of the In House Processing Team • Identify and resolve issues arising in normal daily operations • Collaborate with Underwriting Team Leads to answer questions, brainstorm solutions, provide training and maintain efficient processes • Set employee goals aligned with company and department plans • Conduct team meetings and communicate departmental goals • Communicate personnel requirements and issues to the Vice President of Operations • Participate in hiring and disciplinary processes for direct reports • Monitor and improve internal processes and procedures • Maintain quality standards according to company requirements • Recruit, hire, train, mentor, coach and develop direct reports • Oversee staff performance across operations departments • Maintain positive internal customer relationships and mitigate employee turnover • Ensure efficient and timely loan processing from submission through underwriting, processing, document drawing, funding and closing • Evaluate direct reports and provide performance management, feedback, coaching, counseling and remediation • Recommend process and system changes to maximize productivity • Develop and implement strategies supporting corporate growth and goals • Identify and implement technology opportunities to enhance systems and processes • Administer company policies, performance expectations and procedures throughout the loan origination process • Maintain communication among processing, production, underwriting, account management, documents, funding and management teams • Manage pipeline assignment and workflow distribution to meet turn-time benchmarks • Ensure required procedures are applied to cancelled or denied pipeline loans • Remain current on company requirements and federal and state regulations for compliance • Perform data entry and process loan files as needed, including covering processor pipelines during absences • Participate in departmental and senior management meetings as needed • Maintain regular departmental and supervisor meetings • Perform other duties as assigned
• At least five to seven years of experience in mortgage banking or mortgage lending • Prior Management and/or Supervisory Experience Required • Prior experience working with automated Loan Origination Systems • Proficiency with Microsoft Office • Current knowledge of industry guidelines and procedures as well as federal, state and local regulations • Knowledge of mortgage banking • Analytical skills • Ability to work with minimal supervision • Unquestioned character and integrity • Proven ability to lead large groups of employees • Detail oriented • Highly organized • Multi-tasking and prioritization skills necessary • Ability to work in a fast paced environment under time constraints • Ability to organize and coordinate projects • Excellent customer service skills • Ability to adapt to change quickly • Strong interpersonal skills and must be a team player • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal • Excellent Presentation Skills • High School Diploma
