📋 Description

• Lead and grow the multidisciplinary Identification Accuracy team of ML Engineers, Data Scientists, Analysts, and Analytics Engineers • Foster psychological safety, technical excellence, and continuous improvement • Own the team’s roadmap with senior engineering leadership and cross-functional stakeholders • Drive design, training, evaluation, and deployment of ML models that improve identification accuracy across billions of devices • Partner with Identification Engineering, Product, and customer-facing teams to translate customer needs into technical priorities • Communicate model performance and roadmap tradeoffs to technical, business, and executive stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role in an ML or data science team in an agile, fast-paced environment • At least 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, machine learning, or a related technical discipline • Ability to lead technical teams shipping production ML systems from data pipelines and feature engineering through model training, evaluation, and deployment • Track record of building and developing high-performing multidisciplinary teams including engineers, data scientists, and/or analysts • Strong communication skills for translating complex model behavior, data quality issues, and technical tradeoffs to technical and non-technical stakeholders • Success driving outcomes in fast-moving, scaling environments with evolving priorities and ambiguity • Preferred: experience with large-scale behavioral or event data in production • Preferred: familiarity with ML infrastructure and MLOps tooling, including MLflow, feature stores, model registries, and ML CI/CD pipelines • Preferred: background in fraud detection, identity, or trust and safety • Preferred: hands-on experience with dbt or similar analytics engineering tooling • Preferred: comfort working with platform and API engineering teams on downstream requirements and latency constraints • Must be authorized to work from the candidate’s home location; Fingerprint does not sponsor visas
