📋 Description

• Lead, coach, and develop the billing team • Manage staffing, performance, training, and professional development • Foster accountability, collaboration, and exceptional client service • Oversee billing operations, including preparation, review, submission, and tracking of client invoices • Manage eBilling and alternative fee arrangements • Partner with attorneys, practice group leaders, and Finance teams to resolve complex billing matters • Support client service objectives and drive revenue cycle performance • Manage aged WIP and realization • Analyze billing metrics and operational performance • Identify risks and opportunities and implement process improvements • Lead system and workflow enhancements • Promote effective use of technology and reporting tools

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience • Minimum of 5 years’ management experience • Minimum of 10 years’ progressive billing experience in a legal or professional services environment • Proven ability to lead, develop, coach, and manage high-performing teams • Professional services billing expertise, including billing operations, client billing guidelines, alternative fee arrangements, eBilling requirements, and revenue cycle management • Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills • Advanced technical, project management, and communication skills • Proficiency with billing systems and reporting tools • Ability to manage multiple priorities • Commitment to exceptional client service and operational excellence
