📋 Description

• Build a team of Sr. Lending Managers and Loan Officers selling Flagstar lending products and services • Recruit, hire, develop, lead, motivate, coach, mentor, and retain quality loan officers • Monitor sales activity and conduct skills-development and product training • Develop relationships with referral sources to obtain mortgage leads • Maintain understanding of products, guidelines, and pricing strategies while championing quality adherence • Attend required production meetings and complete required Flagstar and industry training • Establish production goals and sales strategies for Sr. Lending Managers and Loan Officers • Implement sales programs and strategies to deliver sales results • Set strategy and deliver productivity and cost targets • Evaluate data to determine local market potential and recommend business plans for home lending branches in the region • Handle file and customer escalations and help resolve loan processing and closing issues • Ensure operational efficiency and accuracy across policies, procedures, compliance, origination, audits, work schedules, and branch operations • Ensure loans are offered and sourced according to Flagstar guidelines for sale in the secondary market • Perform talent management functions, including employment, evaluations, staff development, disciplinary actions, succession planning, and compliance oversight • Perform special projects and additional duties as required • Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations • Travel 50% of the time

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma or high school equivalency (GED, HiSET, TASC) or foreign equivalent required • 4+ years leading, managing, motivating, and developing a Loan Officer team to meet or exceed assigned goals in a results-driven environment • NMLS • Must meet and comply with SAFE Act requirements, including successful completion of required background checks and obtaining a Unique Identifier for the NMLS • Undergraduate degree (4 years or equivalent) preferred • Ability and desire to recruit, coach, and mentor loan officers • Excellent sales presentation and marketing skills • Knowledge of conventional and/or government guidelines • Knowledge of processing, underwriting, and/or closing procedures • Ability to analyze and comprehend complex financial data and provide financial alternatives • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills • Solid time management and organizational skills, including prioritization and multitasking • Professional and effective interpersonal skills • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft applications • Experience using laptop technology for communication and accessing credit and loan status information • Ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships and deliver tailored client solutions • Ability to travel 50% of the time
