📋 Description

• Triage oncology patient calls regarding treatment, surgery, and appointment information • Monitor and provide patient symptom management • Manage high-risk, complex patient care to minimize emergency department visits and inpatient readmissions • Assess barriers to care and address patient, caregiver, and family needs • Provide individualized education, resources, and referrals • Assist physicians and PA-C/ARNP with patient and family interactions to resolve clinical issues • Complete requested clinical documentation • Establish and maintain professional role boundaries with patients, caregivers, and the multidisciplinary care team • Facilitate communication among the multidisciplinary cancer care team • Review, evaluate, and report diagnostic tests • Provide patient education and clinical direction after chemotherapy, radiation, infusion treatments, and post-surgery • Work as an integral team player while following Florida State Board of Nursing rules and regulations

🎯 Requirements

• Registered Nurse multistate or Florida single-state licensure required • Minimum Associate Degree in Nursing • Bachelor’s Degree preferred • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN®) certification preferred • Three (3) years or more of experience as an RN • Two (2) years or more of oncology experience required • Strong organizational skills • Ability to prioritize and reprioritize quickly • Ability to develop collaborative internal and external relationships • Strong written communication skills • Strong telephonic assessment and communication skills • Ability to work autonomously and with a virtual team in a remote work environment • Strong oncology side-effect and triage management skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook • High-level critical-thinking skills • Compliance with Florida State Board of Nursing rules and regulations • Successful background, drug, and nicotine screening • Required vaccinations, including influenza, unless an approved exemption applies
