📋 Description

• Own the overall operation and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment for data centers within a market. • Lead operations toward mission-critical uptime of 99.999% or higher. • Serve as a technical resource for Critical Infrastructure, Design and Construction teams. • Identify strategic business opportunities and threats and implement plans and processes for long-term objectives. • Provide technical and management guidance to the operations team. • Oversee commissioning of new data centers and infrastructure augmentations. • Develop and administer program-level planning and project management. • Support nationwide facility operations, maintenance, and training. • Supervise and critique subcontractor performance. • Resolve maintenance discrepancies and site issues with Operations management, vendors, and subcontractors. • Support and train new hires in preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance. • Act as an escalation point for facilities-related issues. • Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures. • Ensure vendor and staff adherence to safety procedures. • Develop site solutions for infrastructure and business needs. • Communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences. • Establish performance benchmarks, analyze operations, and prepare reports. • Drive innovation, reduce operational costs, and mitigate facility risk. • Configure facility equipment monitoring and alerting. • Perform other duties assigned by management.

🎯 Requirements

• Must have 10 years of direct, relevant technical experience with Data Center MEP equipment operation, construction and maintenance. • 5+ years of experience in a management position with 5 or more direct reports. • 5+ years of experience with root cause analysis and troubleshooting/problem solving. • 5+ years of experience within a critical infrastructure environment. • Applicable military experience. • Applicable trade experience. • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects. • Strong oral and written communication skills. • Ability to navigate common word processing programs. • Ability to sit for extended periods of time. • Walk or stand for 50% of the time. • Moderate or advanced keyboard usage. • Ability to lift 50 lbs. • Ability to travel 10% of the time. • Must possess a valid driver's license and insurance. • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and reside in an eligible state. • Preferred: advanced electrical or mechanical certifications; Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline; 8+ years of data center experience; 8+ years of management experience.
