📋 Description

• Provide professional Pashto-English interpretation remotely via Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) and telephone • Facilitate communication in medical, legal, educational, government, and social services settings • Interpret spoken communication between Pashto and English in real time • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics and interpretation standards • Demonstrate professionalism, impartiality, cultural sensitivity, accuracy, and attention to detail • Interpret legal proceedings, hearings, conferences, and other formal settings as assigned • Stay informed about relevant Pashto terminology and language developments

🎯 Requirements

• Fluency in Pashto and English • Must be based in the United States • Certification, training, or qualifications in interpretation preferred, not required • Knowledge of legal terminology and interpreting procedures • Experience interpreting court hearings, legal proceedings, conferences, or similar settings • Prior VRI and/or telephone interpretation experience preferred • Strong communication and listening skills • Ability to interpret accurately and efficiently in real time • Understanding of cultural nuances and ability to provide culturally sensitive interpretation • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism • Reliable high-speed internet connection and appropriate equipment for VRI services
