📋 Description

• Own the software and programming solutions developed for FORTÉ Systems’ customers • Apply control system and software engineering industry best practices • Develop and maintain a strong customer experience for FORTÉ Systems branches and customers • Lead and inspire control system programmers and software engineers in developing high-quality customer solutions • Ensure systems programming services are completed timely and meet system design specifications and functional and operational requirements • Develop new code for project needs • Assist with backend programming to link content to data using HTML 5, C(x), JavaScript, Python, Visual Basic Script, and TypeScript • Work to a critical path and ensure products are produced on schedule • Develop and maintain software storage and code libraries • Establish and maintain programming standards that enable consistent code updates while allowing originality • Maintain a minimum 75% chargeability of the supervised employee team • Oversee the daily duties of Control System Programmers and Software Engineers • Plan, assign, and direct work with AV Project Managers, determining skillsets and workloads needed to deliver projects on time

🎯 Requirements

• Strong knowledge of programming languages such as HTML 5, Python, Java, or C(x) languages, and experience with software development methodologies • Strong knowledge of AV control systems programming including Crestron, Q-Sys, Extron, etc. • 1-3 years of experience developing AV related code • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required, or relevant industry certification and industry experience • A master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred but not mandatory • Relevant certifications such as PMP, Scrum Master, or other project management and technical certifications are a plus • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively • Excellent analytical skills to identify and resolve technical challenges • Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
