📋 Description

• Lead and support mechanical design efforts on converting and packaging line projects • Execute capital projects within defined scopes, costs, and schedules • Develop concepts, deliverables, effort hours, and estimated costs for engineering proposals • Prepare systems analyses and conceptual designs, layouts, equipment specifications, and detailed design packages for bids and installation • Delegate design work and hold team members accountable • Perform QA/QC of design packages • Interface regularly with clients and vendors • Work as part of a collaborative project team • Gather field data and conduct field investigations in manufacturing environments • Solicit and review equipment bids • Lead internal and client design reviews • Provide startup support and troubleshoot installed systems • Travel to other Foth offices or client locations, approximately 25–35% annually • Coach and mentor other engineers and designers

🎯 Requirements

• BS Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent technical experience • 10+ years of industry-relevant experience in engineering of consumer products • Travel to other Foth offices or client locations regularly required, anticipated 25–35% annually • Preferred: 15+ years of experience with integration systems and systems engineering in consumer towel and tissue products and/or paper converting/packaging systems • Preferred: Experience developing system concepts, executing final system designs, and developing written line operations strategies • Preferred: Conveyor application experience • Preferred: Knowledge of Web Handling (unwind, rewind, cutting, printing) – towel and tissue • Preferred: Analyzing and designing utilities to support converting systems • Preferred: AutoCAD • Preferred: 3D design software • Preferred: Simulation software (FlexSim, Plant Simulation) • Preferred: Autodesk Navisworks, ReCap • Preferred: Understanding of balanced line flow for converting and packaging systems • Must complete required drug testing within two business days of offer acceptance • Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment and conduct field investigations when required
