📋 Description

• Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies for assigned categories • Strategically manage indirect spend using a sourcing process engaging cross-enterprise stakeholders • Act as subject matter expert on business requirements and supply and demand markets • Analyze global category or service market trends and communicate opportunities and recommended action plans to Executive Management • Develop and direct annual cost savings programs and generate year-over-year cost reductions • Prepare requests for proposals for assigned materials/services • Perform proposal analysis, price analysis, Should Cost modeling, and benchmarking • Develop cost targets and negotiation strategies; negotiate and implement supply agreements • Lead supplier selection, alternative-source qualification, supply-base rationalization, and related optimization strategies • Manage supplier relationships, including KPIs, audits, business reviews, improvement plans, innovation, awards, terminations, savings tracking, and stakeholder communication • Resolve supplier/product-related issues from initiation through completion • Establish department goals, KPIs, and policies with the Director • Provide leadership and coaching to direct reports and partner with Human Resources on employee matters • Develop schedules and performance requirements; hire and terminate direct reports • Create employee development plans and support succession planning • Coordinate with Procurement and Global Strategic Procurement to align procurement strategies • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required • BS/BA Degree required; Life Sciences preferred • 8+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing/category management with direct or indirect sourcing responsibility • 3+ years' supervisory experience • Deep understanding of Category Management methodology and application • Extensive experience managing sourcing projects from start to finish • eSourcing experience required • SAP proficiency a plus • Proven ability to execute and generate cost reduction improvement • Proficiency in MS Office applications with advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint • Moderate to complex financial analysis knowledge, including business modeling and problem-solving skills • Experience negotiating pricing, contract terms and conditions, including statements of work (SOWs) • Experience providing project management and team leadership for sourcing initiative stakeholders • Strategic planning, critical thinking, decision-making, analytical, negotiation, influencing, collaboration, and general leadership skills • MBA preferred • Advanced negotiations skills courses a plus
