📋 Description

• Own bank and credit card reconciliations across all company accounts • Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations with supporting documentation • Maintain the general ledger and post journal entries • Investigate and resolve reconciling items • Execute month-end close tasks, including account tie-outs and flux analysis • Prepare organized work papers and reconciliation packages for audit scrutiny • Partner with the Controller to improve the close timeline • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor coding, payment processing, customer invoicing, and collections • Ensure transactions are coded to the correct entity, department, and account • Maintain documentation and internal controls for audit readiness • Support external auditors and tax advisors • Assist with multi-state sales and use tax compliance and payroll tax filings • Identify workflow inefficiencies and propose process improvements • Support evaluation and adoption of accounting tools and automation

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • 4+ years of accounting experience with a strong foundation in general ledger accounting • Extensive hands-on experience with bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations • Deep familiarity with general ledger operations, journal entries, and error resolution • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel/Google Sheets • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced remote environment • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Successful completion of comprehensive background checks covering typically the past 7–10 years • U.S.-based and available to work PST/MST hours • CPA license or active CPA candidacy (nice to have) • Experience in startup, high-growth, or multi-entity environments (nice to have) • Familiarity with construction accounting, job costing, and WIP schedules (nice to have) • Experience with QuickBooks Payroll, Avalara, LiveFlow, or Sage Intacct (nice to have) • Exposure to NetSuite, Acumatica, or Intacct (nice to have) • Experience supporting external audits or preparing audit schedules (nice to have) • Background in climate tech, construction, hardware, or SaaS business models (nice to have)
