📋 Description

• Conduct audits at assigned facilities across the United States • Assess and improve animal welfare conditions at facilities, suppliers, and partners • Ensure consistency and accuracy in audits and audit reports • Communicate with clients in preparation for audits • Maintain confidentiality and follow FACTA and client protocols • Submit detailed time and expense reports by firm deadlines • Schedule audit-related travel • Complete audit reports within required timelines • Communicate with management, producers, and other stakeholders • Work independently without direct oversight • Use computer systems in the audit report process • Ask questions and apply communication, listening, and problem-solving skills • Escalate risks and issues beyond personal experience or skill set • Complete audit procedures and obtain sufficient appropriate audit evidence in accordance with applicable auditing standards • Maintain professional skepticism and consider alternative and disconfirming evidence • Complete tasks and deliverables to a high-quality standard • Keep senior team members informed of significant developments and engagement progress • Assist with annual updates to training programs and audit documents under supervision • Attend industry conferences and speak with current and prospective clients

🎯 Requirements

• Multi-species auditing is required • Minimum of two years of experience and/or training in animal production or welfare • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered • Animal welfare or animal husbandry exposure required • Active PAACO certification in poultry or swine, or currently working to obtain it • Computer proficiency required • Working knowledge of livestock handling tools • Ability to travel 60-80% for onsite audits across the United States • Intermediate knowledge in at least one species • Basic knowledge of industry jargon • Foundational understanding of computer systems used in audit report processing • Ability to work independently in a timely manner without direct oversight • Communication, listening, and problem-solving skills • Bachelor’s degree and education related to animal production and welfare preferred • Veterinary care for domestic animals does not qualify as the specified animal production or welfare experience
