📋 Description

• Evaluate the quality of interactions with modern coding agents such as OpenAI Codex and Claude Code • Assess AI coding-agent behavior in real-world scenarios • Judge whether responses make sense and whether preambles and reasoning are useful • Evaluate whether outputs demonstrate strong engineering judgment • Assess the quality of explanations and reasoning, not just code • Distinguish different levels of response quality • Provide clear, opinionated feedback on what worked, what did not, and what felt off or misleading • Help define what great interaction looks like when using tools such as Cursor • Make subjective but rigorous judgments about AI-generated coding interactions

🎯 Requirements

• Highly experienced software engineer (SR+) • Staff / Principal-level engineer or equivalent experience • Strong background in TypeScript / JavaScript or Python • Hands-on experience using OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, and Cursor • Deep familiarity with modern AI-assisted development workflows • Ability to evaluate code without fully executing or deeply reviewing every line • Comfortable giving direct, opinionated feedback • High bar for what “good engineering” looks like • Nice to have: experience with Cursor or similar AI-first IDEs • Nice to have: prior exposure to prompt design or evaluation workflows • Nice to have: experience mentoring senior engineers or defining engineering standards • Must complete a take-home evaluation exercise and one behavioral interview

• $100–$200/hour compensation • Flexible part-time engagement of approximately 10–20 hours per week • Possible contract extension
