📋 Description

• Lead engineering projects from initial scope development through final delivery • Manage project objectives, schedules, budgets, resources, quality, safety, profitability, and client expectations • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and execution plans • Coordinate engineering teams, contractors, clients, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and manage priorities • Identify and mitigate project risks, scope changes, resource constraints, and schedule impacts • Serve as the primary client point of contact and provide regular project updates • Facilitate decision-making and build long-term client relationships • Plan and manage small to medium-value, single- or dual-discipline projects with low- to medium-risk profiles • Manage typically 3 to 5 projects, with up to $500k per year in total billings and a maximum individual project size of $150k • Analyze project performance data with Project Controls staff and develop recovery plans as needed • Develop and maintain client relationships on existing projects • Coordinate proposed project scope, schedule, and fee with the PM Coach and experienced project managers • Support senior management in client contract negotiations • Assemble and lead project teams • Work under the supervision and guidance of a PM Coach and report typically to senior management • Dedicate approximately 50% of duties to project management, 45% to technical delivery, and up to 15% to business development

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of total engineering or technical experience • At least 2 years serving as a Task or Project Manager leading and directing projects or tasks • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering or applicable technical discipline • Relevant professional licensure or certification in an applicable technical discipline as required (PE, PLS, PG, RLA, etc.) • Driver’s License required • Demonstrated track record of external customer engagements and successful client relationships • Working knowledge of fundamental project management skills and financial concepts • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, CAD programs, document management systems, database software, HR systems, internet software, and database reporting tools • Ability to travel to GAI and client office locations as needed, estimated up to 25% • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to collaborate with and garner support from stakeholders and staff • Ability to read and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical reports, procedures, and governmental regulations • Ability to write reports and business correspondence • Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public • Experience with Deltek for Professional Services, including CRM applications, preferred
