Gamma Phi Beta International Sorority is a nonprofit women's collegiate organization that builds confident women of character through sisterhood, leadership development, philanthropy, and community engagement. It supports collegiate members and alumnae with leadership programs, scholarships and financial aid, volunteer and alumnae engagement opportunities, housing guidance, and national events while promoting inclusion and anti-hazing policies. The organization also raises funds and partners on philanthropic initiatives such as Building Strong Girls and runs a foundation to manage giving, donor recognition, and grants.

📋 Description

• Assist chapter advisors in appointing, training and mentoring financial advisors • Supervise collegiate chapter financial activities for assigned chapters • Ensure chapters follow budget processes, timelines and approvals • Review chapter financial activity on OmegaFi and analyze it according to financial management standards • Collaborate with regional team members and financial advisors to address budgeting, OmegaFi and chapter financial issues • Track completion and filing of IRS Form 990 tax forms and upload copies to Beta Base • Assess financial strengths and challenges and set and manage financial goals with regional and finance teams • Identify chapters needing additional financial-management support • Schedule and lead annual finance visits for assigned collegiate chapters • Submit a Beta Base report within 10 days of each visit • Provide feedback and suggestions on resources, programming, project teams and initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• Mid-level volunteer position • Four to six hours per week on average; peak periods in April and May may require additional time • Expected to travel up to five days per year • Expected to participate in the BEDI Summit • Must meet Gamma Phi Beta’s Appointed Volunteer Expectations Agreement • Experience with Gamma Phi Beta’s financial policies and procedures • Familiarity with Gamma Phi Beta’s financial management platform, OmegaFi Vault • Gamma Phi Beta knowledge • Critical thinking skills • Mentorship skills • Gamma Phi Beta members are expected to be in good standing by paying international alumnae dues or joining Life Loyal • Non-members may apply

• Volunteer role with a two-year appointed term • Eligible for reappointment for a total of three terms • Opportunity to contribute at local, regional or international levels • Travel opportunities up to five days per year, including chapter visits and attendance at the REAL Leadership Institute (RLI) • Participation in the synchronous, virtual Belonging, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (BEDI) Summit • Gamma Phi Beta members volunteering in good standing may participate by paying international alumnae dues ($40 annually) or joining Life Loyal ($375 one-time payment)
