📋 Description

• Oversee the California territory as a University Admissions Counselor • Host and implement event and activity plans that build awareness of academic programs and campus community and generate inquiries • Counsel prospective students and their families in person, by phone, email, text, and Zoom • Connect with community college students, faculty, and staff • Engage major stakeholders throughout the territory • Attend fairs, school visits, presentations, community and campus events, and host campus visits • Promote Grand Canyon University and support institutional growth • Work independently from home while supporting prospective students and families through the admissions process • Guide students from application through their first few weeks on campus • Coach diverse students and families and develop relationships with community colleges and staff

🎯 Requirements

• Must live in or near Phoenix, AZ • Bachelor’s degree • No delinquent or defaulted federal student loan, as verified in a credit report; if in rehabilitation, credit report must show current payments • Outstanding time management and organization skills • Clear communication and engaging presentation skills • Well-developed listening skills • Self-motivation and drive to succeed • High emotional intelligence and ability to demonstrate empathy • Valid driver's license • Reliable transportation and ability to use a personal vehicle • Flexible schedule and willingness to travel extensively • Clean driving record • Evening and/or weekend availability for some events • Computer literacy • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite • Relevant industry-related professional experience is a bonus • Experience working with CRM tools is a bonus • Grand Canyon University on-campus attendance and alumni experience are bonus qualifications
