📋 Description

• Architect and automate security workflows across CI/CD pipelines and compliance operations • Reduce manual effort in vulnerability scan analysis, security inventory auditing, and continuous monitoring reporting • Partner with development and platform teams to integrate, automate, and monitor security tool components • Build automation for compliance and ATO artifacts, including continuous monitoring reports, SPIAs, and NIST control evidence mapping • Perform automated inventory delta analysis and drift detection across cloud accounts • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and educate teams on modern security tooling • Resolve complex configuration and performance issues • Use generative AI engineering tools to accelerate security automation, compliance reporting, and IaC scanning workflows • Define standards for securing AWS Cloud and container environments • Implement advanced solutions for system security, logging, and audit correlation • Guide preparation of technical documentation, processes, and procedures

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of related experience • BA/BS degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Direct hands-on experience managing security in a DevSecOps pipeline operating under continuous ATO (cATO) • Experience owning automated security gates, control evidence, and compliance posture in a live continuous-authorization pipeline • Hands-on automation of compliance workflows, including scan ingestion, finding triage, evidence generation, and continuous monitoring reporting • Familiarity with AWS GovCloud Security Hub, Inspector, GuardDuty, and Config • Experience with Qualys, CrowdStrike, Nexus/Sonatype, SonarQube, and Datadog • Experience building and scanning Terraform or CloudFormation IaC for security and compliance • Knowledge of NIST 800-53 or 800-171 control implementation and evidence mapping • Familiarity with FedRAMP and IAM • Strong proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar automation scripting • Linux/Unix administration experience; RHEL or CentOS preferred • Active Security+ certification or equivalent DoD 8570/8140 baseline • Capability or desire to mentor junior/mid-level engineers and drive technical consensus • Exceptional critical thinking and complex security/compliance problem-solving ability • Effective communication and collaboration skills • Commitment to continuous learning, engineering best practices, and process improvement • Less than 10% travel required • US citizenship required • BI Full 6C (T4) public trust required • Must currently possess no security clearance; must be able to obtain no clearance
