📋 Description

• Own the technical direction and architecture for cloud infrastructure • Design, build, and operate the cloud-native platform for a multi-tenant managed service • Own production readiness for enterprise launch, including SLOs, error budgets, runbooks, failover testing, and business continuity • Operate DNS production infrastructure, including zone operations, DNSSEC, registrar and provider integrations, and cross-provider failover • Operate signing and certificate infrastructure, including key custody, rotation, signing-path availability, and certificate lifecycle • Build the delivery pipeline with policy-as-code, required checks, and merge guardrails • Ship signed releases with provenance and supply-chain controls • Instrument the platform with logging, metrics, and tracing • Automate audit-readiness infrastructure, including audit logging, retention, access reviews, and evidence collection • Monitor cloud spend, unit economics, and workload costs • Review engineering designs, mentor engineers, and help set the hiring bar • Establish the on-call practice, act as incident commander, and drive blameless postmortems • Promote Identity Digital’s core values through daily decisions and interactions • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in DevOps, site reliability, or platform engineering, including principal or staff-level scope • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience • Deep experience with cloud-native architectures and services; AWS/GCP preferred • Strong proficiency with Kubernetes, Terraform, and infrastructure-as-code • Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD • Strong scripting or programming skills in Python, Go, or TypeScript/JavaScript • Experience building observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, or OpenTelemetry • Working-depth knowledge of DNS operations, zone management, DNSSEC, registrars, resolvers, and authoritative providers • Solid understanding of PKI, secrets management, and certificate workflows • Experience running multi-tenant SaaS and distributed systems in production, including incident command • Track record of improving operational standards through design review and mentoring • Ability to travel as needed • Ability to work effectively across time zones on a distributed team • Ability to participate in production on-call • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times • Preferred: signing infrastructure or certificate-authority operations at scale, including HSM/KMS key custody and rotation without downtime • Preferred: supply-chain security using SLSA, sigstore/cosign, reproducible builds, and provenance • Preferred: familiarity with agentic AI systems, short-lived credentials, egress control, and OWASP Agentic and NHI Top 10 • Preferred: SOC 2 or comparable audit-program experience • Preferred: taking products from prototype to general availability • Preferred: contributions to open-source infrastructure or operations tooling • Successful offer is contingent upon a satisfactory background check • Work sponsorship may not be available now or in the future
