📋 Description

• Draft, edit, format, and review responses, recommendations, policies, procedures, reports, and other documents • Manage and coordinate approval and clearance processes and provide leadership updates • Provide research and editorial support to the Intergovernmental Affairs team • Coordinate with the data team to collect information and compile responses to FOIA requests, congressional inquiries, and stakeholder questions • Review and edit procedures and program guidance • Coordinate internal and external reviews and compile policy recommendations • Conduct research for talking points, memoranda, reports, briefings, analyses, and other materials • Support inter-agency and intra-agency coordination of agency program functions • Support content development and review for meeting agendas, reports, and executive and Congressional responses • Perform document and knowledge management tasks • Support special projects • Mentor, train, and provide technical assistance to Policy and Legal Affairs contractors • Monitor team progress, performance, quality, deliverables, goals, and timelines • Provide guidance, training, feedback, and process-improvement suggestions • Complete Performance Improvement Plans and annual performance evaluations • Review monthly reports and approve and submit consolidated reports • Review and approve timecards, leave requests, and expense reports • Support recruitment efforts, including conducting interviews • Develop and maintain training materials, job aids, and SOPs • Serve as primary point of contact for stakeholder questions and concerns related to the contractor team

🎯 Requirements

• BS/BA degree in public policy, social work, law, journalism, or a related field • At least 8+ years of relevant experience • At least 2 years of supervisory experience • Strong copy-editing, research, and writing skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong technical skills, including MS Office tools such as Excel and SharePoint • Demonstrated experience editing and managing documents for internal and external stakeholders • Demonstrated experience conducting scholarly research and drafting documents for leadership and/or other stakeholders • Experience drafting, maintaining, and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) • Existing MBI T2 Public Trust or ability to obtain one • Background in law or social work preferred, but not required • Experience working with immigrant, refugee, and underserved populations preferred • Experience with Adobe product suite preferred • US citizenship not required
