📋 Description

• Lead human-centered design efforts across mission-critical digital products • Conduct and synthesize user research to inform product strategy and iterative development • Develop personas, journey maps, workflows, wireframes, and prototypes aligned with federal accessibility standards • Drive UX governance and ensure consistent design patterns and accessibility compliance across products • Collaborate with product managers and developers to refine requirements and validate design assumptions • Shape user experience for an enterprise-scale, cloud-native modernization initiative • Ensure digital interactions support the mission, enhance usability, and meet federal customer needs

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, UX Design, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent experience considered for highly qualified candidates • 10+ years designing user experiences for large-scale, enterprise applications • Comprehensive user research experience, including surveys, user interviews, and data analysis • Experience with design thinking methodologies, Agile concepts and practices, and product management principles • Experience with visual and interaction design and implementing user interfaces based on user data • Proficiency with UX tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Miro, or Axure • Strong knowledge of human-centered design, interaction design, and usability heuristics • Understanding of accessibility principles and Section 508/WCAG compliance • Ability to develop wireframes, prototypes, interaction flows, and annotated specifications • Ability to pass a security background check • Ability to communicate design direction to technical and non-technical stakeholders • Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills • Ability to translate complex workflows into intuitive user interfaces • Strong facilitation skills for design workshops and user research sessions
