📋 Description

• Own end-to-end design across onboarding, activation, upsells, expansion, and churn • Partner with Product and Growth to turn user research, support signals, and product data into design hypotheses • Design and ship experiments to test hypotheses • Redesign high-friction funnel moments, including the in-app downgrade flow, trial-to-paid conversion, and first-time activation • Focus on reducing churn and improving conversion • Work with senior product designers to maintain beehiiv’s core design language while applying a growth-oriented, test-and-learn approach • Collaborate directly with engineering to scope design lift and ship iteratively • Present thinking, rationale, and trade-offs to product and leadership teams • Incorporate feedback quickly • Help define a growth design practice from scratch

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a product designer • Meaningful experience with growth, activation, lifecycle, or monetization surfaces • Track record of designing for experimentation, including A/B tests and phased rollouts • Ability to iterate quickly based on quantitative results • Ability to turn vague, high-stakes problems into crisp, testable design points of view • Excellent communication, listening, and writing skills • Ability to explain design rationale and trade-offs to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership • Ability to read and analyze data and develop hypotheses from it • Prior experience in the newsletter/media/publishing/SaaS industry is a plus • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently with little direction • Genuine excitement about scaling a nascent platform • Ownership mentality • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and stakeholders • Comfortable with rapid iteration and frequent context switching • Able to meet high expectations for speed and quality • Able to navigate complex organizational dynamics
