📋 Description

• Serve as a contracts subject matter expert across proposal, negotiation, award, and post-award execution phases • Manage commercial issues, customer relationships, change management, claims, and disputes • Act as the primary contractual point of contact for civil and government customers • Provide end-to-end contract administration for assigned proposals and contracts • Draft and review contract terms and conditions • Lead negotiations and advise internal stakeholders on contract risk and compliance • Liaise with finance, program management, engineering, sales, and legal teams • Guide proposal teams through solicitation assessment, including FAR/DFARS compliance and ITAR/EAR export-control considerations • Develop mitigation strategies for business, legal, and compliance risks • Monitor contract compliance, performance obligations, deliverables, and reporting requirements • Participate in contracts-organization process improvement initiatives • Balance near-term deliverables with long-term program goals across multiple business units and product lines

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution • 6+ years of experience in contract formation and execution across civil, U.S. Government, and international contracting environments • Demonstrated expertise in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), particularly Part 12 and Part 15 • Expertise in the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) • Knowledge of applicable export control regulations (ITAR/EAR) • Experience negotiating and drafting contracts for civil/commercial and U.S. Government military customers • Experience briefing stakeholders on contract status, risk, and compliance matters • Ability to work across international and domestic business contexts, including time zone coordination and cross-cultural business practices • Ability to lead negotiations on high-value or high-risk contracts • Prior experience as a U.S. Government contracting officer or in a similar military/government contracting role is desired • Ability to analyze and resolve problems • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships within GE Aerospace • Ability to manage projects/assignments within tight deadlines • Ability to work Eastern Time business hours • Ability to prove U.S. Person status for access to U.S. export-controlled information: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, or granted asylee/refugee status • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
