📋 Description

• Provide systems technology leadership for GE Aerospace’s Aeroderivative Engine Operations Engineering family of legacy engines • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive strategic and tactical deliverables focused on production and manufacturing flow • Deliver continuous improvement while balancing system-level risk against customer needs • Collaborate with engineering section leaders to execute programs robustly and on schedule • Work across the Chief’s office, Design Boards, Project Management, Product Support, and Supply Chain • Facilitate systems and design integration to deliver balanced design solutions • Lead technical execution across development, production, and field support • Lead Value Engineering (VAVE) events to convert producibility, cost, and cycle-time opportunities into qualified design and manufacturing solutions • Develop and standardize engineering production support processes with adjacent organizations • Serve as the primary technical interface with external organizations • Integrate internal team efforts with customers and partners • Negotiate and influence stakeholders to define and deploy technical and commercial solutions • Influence major product line decisions and long-term strategy • Lead cross-functional collaboration using Lean (FLIGHT DECK) methodologies • Champion continuous improvement initiatives that reduce delivery-challenge resolution cycle time and streamline engineering processes

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering from an accredited university or college • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the aerospace industry and/or turbine power generation • Minimum of 5 years of experience in engine systems and/or design engineering • In-person attendance required for New Hire Orientation on Day 1 • For candidates applying to a role in Mexico: must be legally able to work in Mexico • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable • May be subject to random and reasonable-suspicion drug and alcohol testing • Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering preferred • Multidiscipline technical expertise, including mechanical design and systems integration experience preferred • Hardware ownership or hands-on engineering experience preferred • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes preferred • Experience leading or facilitating Value Engineering (VAVE), Kaizen, or producibility-improvement events preferred • Demonstrated talent development, mentoring, and coaching ability preferred • Experience leading teams, including indirect reports preferred • Strong horizontal collaboration and stakeholder-influence skills preferred • Exceptional communication skills preferred • Proven ability to execute large, complex programs preferred
