📋 Description

• Manage core FP&A operating rhythms, including multi-year plans, annual budgets, periodic forecasts, income/cash flow pacing, and performance reporting across insurance product lines and legal entities • Define, monitor, and interpret financial and operational KPIs • Analyze results, investigate variances, identify emerging trends, and explain key drivers to internal management • Prepare management reporting and executive-ready analysis, including forecast packages, monthly operating review materials, and capital-related analysis • Partner with Controllership, Actuarial, Investments, Operations, Technology, and other stakeholders on functional projects and data dependencies • Provide specialized accounting, financial reporting, and FP&A analysis for complex or ambiguous issues • Support financial analysis across long-term care, structured settlements, variable annuities, and other insurance portfolios • Lead or support process-improvement initiatives improving forecast accuracy, reporting efficiency, controls, traceability, and decision support • Contribute to Finance Transformation and future-state FP&A design by documenting requirements and evaluating process and data needs • Apply artificial intelligence and Microsoft Copilot to forecasting, variance analysis, management reporting, knowledge sharing, and decision support • Apply Power BI, business intelligence, data visualization, and advanced analytics to integrate data, automate reporting, and deliver decision-ready insights • Communicate complex financial concepts and recommendations to stakeholders and senior leaders • Help achieve service, quality, and timeliness objectives during close, forecast, planning, and executive reporting cycles • Coach and develop team members and reinforce a collaborative, accountable, continuous-improvement mindset

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field from an accredited university or college • Six or more years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, financial reporting, FP&A, or a related discipline • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, management reporting, and financial modeling • Ability to analyze complex information, exercise sound judgment, and develop clear, supportable recommendations • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting financial information to senior leaders and non-finance stakeholders • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint • Insurance or financial-services industry experience beneficial • Working knowledge of GAAP and statutory financial reporting, capital, and cash-flow concepts • Experience partnering with Actuarial, Investments, Controllership, Operations, and Technology teams • Experience leading projects, documenting requirements, planning work, and delivering through cross-functional teams • Exposure to Power BI, Microsoft Copilot, Oracle NetSuite, Hyperion, Microsoft Fabric, or comparable financial planning and analytics tools • Experience evaluating or applying artificial intelligence, automation, Microsoft Copilot, or other emerging technologies within finance, analytics, or business intelligence processes • Ability to improve processes through automation, standardization, Lean principles, or other continuous-improvement methods • Ability to execute accurately under tight close, forecast, and executive-reporting deadlines • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills • Curiosity, learning agility, attention to detail, and willingness to question existing approaches • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable; employees may be subject to random and reasonable-suspicion drug and alcohol testing
