• Operate in lock-step with product management teams to create strategic direction for development needs • Convey a clear vision and descriptive requirements to build and/or operations teams • Balance new features, defects, and technical debt to determine deliverables • Integrate and align perspectives from Product Managers, Technical Anchors, Product Owners, and Developers • Demonstrate superior product and industry knowledge to help the organization gain competitive advantage • Gather voice-of-customer requirements, fine-tune them, and obtain product feedback • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver features and major, complex products • Collaborate with UX, Architecture, and engineering teams on issues and decisions • Conduct customer and stakeholder interviews and elaborate personas • Align customer, product management, and engineering teams through persuasion and influence • Own release and sprint backlogs and short-term MVP and quarterly release roadmaps • Manage, order, and prioritize the backlog, keeping 1–2 sprints/iterations ready • Engage with the development team approximately 50% of the time to facilitate discussions, clarify requirements, accept and refine stories, test and validate, and contribute to design decisions • Translate ambiguous work requests into actionable user stories and work units • Troubleshoot production issues through iterative testing and data analysis • Provide monthly status updates alongside other products in the same functional space • Partner with Development Leadership to maintain a healthy development process • Mentor junior team members • Provide technical leadership to TPMs across the organization and coach others in Agile methodology • Leverage AI and emerging digital tools to accelerate insight generation, improve decision-making, and increase speed to value
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR Associate’s degree with minimum of 8 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 10 years of professional experience • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Technical Product Management • Military experience is equivalent to professional experience • Strong knowledge of software design and coding principles • Experience working in an Agile environment • Familiarity with versatile implementation options • Knowledge of caching, APIs, data transfer, scalability, and security • Working knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts • Ability to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems • Ability to break down problems, document problem statements, and estimate efforts • Ability to analyze the impact of technology choices • Succinct and effective communication skills with various levels of business stakeholders • Negotiation skills to align stakeholders and communicate a synthesized perspective • Knowledge of the competitive environment • Knowledge of market technologies for buy-versus-build recommendations, MVP scoping, and market timing decisions • Ability to influence, verbalize decisions and downstream implications, and participate in technical strategy planning • Ability to direct and mentor others in critical thinking skills • Ability to proactively engage with cross-functional teams and resolve issues using critical thinking and analysis • Ability to innovate and integrate new processes and technology • Must be able to prove U.S. Person status for access to U.S. export-controlled information • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable; employees may be subject to random and reasonable-suspicion drug and alcohol testing
