📋 Description

• Design and maintain dbt models encoding business logic, metric definitions, and dimensional structures • Enforce consistent metric definitions across the semantic layer • Translate definitions alignment work into concrete dbt model implementations with the Senior Manager of Data • Document data models for analysts and business stakeholders • Own the AnswersNow QuickSight environment, including data source connections, SPICE datasets, refresh schedules, access controls, and performance • Architect the QuickSight layer for the five-domain dashboard buildout • Lead the technical execution of the Mode-to-QuickSight migration • Configure and leverage QuickSight AI features, including QuickSight Q and AI-assisted narratives • Own data quality and model accuracy for the homegrown analytics agent • Build validation checks, data quality tests, and monitoring • Partner with Data Science on BI integration with AI inference pipelines • Design and maintain outcomes reporting packages for external payor audiences • Ensure payor-facing reports meet accuracy standards • Define metrics and formats with clinical and business stakeholders • Evaluate LLM-assisted BI tools and AI-native approaches • Design datasets and models suitable for human and AI-agent querying • Contribute to the team’s understanding of AI-accelerated BI delivery

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or BI architecture • Deep SQL proficiency, including complex queries and data modeling • Strong experience with dbt, including building models, writing tests, managing the DAG, and dimensional/fact modeling • Hands-on Amazon QuickSight experience, or deep experience with a comparable BI platform and ability to learn new tooling quickly • Data modeling mindset focused on report flexibility and trustworthiness • Familiarity with LLM-assisted BI tools, AI-native data products, or QuickSight AI features • Strong communication skills for explaining data model decisions to non-technical stakeholders • Ability to work closely with business stakeholders to understand domain context • Experience with clinical data, healthcare outcomes metrics, or payor reporting is nice to have • Familiarity with RAG pipelines, vector databases, or AI inference infrastructure is nice to have • Background in HIPAA or SOC 2 environments is nice to have • Experience migrating BI platforms such as Mode, Looker, or Tableau is nice to have • Legally authorized to work in the United States
