📋 Description

• Understand and document how the platform currently behaves, including workflows, exception paths, rules, and undocumented behavior • Build and maintain reference material used by AI tooling and engineers • Keep documentation accurate as the product changes • Review tickets and specifications against actual product behavior before development • Capture acceptance criteria, edge cases, failure behavior, and explicit non-goals • Provide sufficient context for pods to build work without a meeting • Support product managers and engineers across multiple pods and competing priorities • Learn insurance requirements, state-specific rules, and customer-specific compliance requirements

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years as a business analyst, technical analyst, product analyst, data analyst, or in product operations, working closely with engineers • Strong SQL, including writing queries against a real schema, understanding join effects on row counts, and sanity-checking results • Ability to read a database schema and determine how a product behaves from it • Daily practical use of AI tools, including structuring context, iterating on prompts, and identifying confidently incorrect outputs • Ability to build rough working prototypes with AI assistance • Clear written communication • Analytical honesty: quantify findings, state assumptions, and investigate unreconciled numbers • Comfort operating without process scaffolding and prioritizing competing requests • Bonus: B2B SaaS experience with enterprise customers • Bonus: Experience with compliance- or workflow-heavy products • Bonus: Python for analysis • Bonus: Experience maintaining documentation used by AI tooling
