📋 Description

• Lead delivery of integrated cross-GE Vernova system solutions for complex electrification projects • Collaborate with GE Vernova businesses to optimize and enhance customer value propositions • Develop reference systems-wide solutions architecture for complex power projects • Create technical and commercial cross-GE Vernova processes governing comprehensive solution delivery • Build and maintain executive presence and customer, stakeholder, and partner relationships • Guide techno-economic system-wide technology development, deployment, planning, operations, and investment in tools, models, methods, and metrics • Support business development and growth of Consulting Services through advisory offerings in power systems integration and techno-economic studies • Develop relationships across Engineering Product Management, Advanced Research Center, Financial Services, Global Policy, and Sustainability teams • Analyze industry sectors, competitive landscapes, market conditions, and impacts on GE Vernova businesses and customer ecosystems • Lead industry leadership and technology forums and multinational intergovernmental collaboratives • Support and drive Consulting Services thought leadership and industry presence • Develop a global talent pool of techno-economic and energy systems integration experts • Participate in strategic planning and development of GE Vernova product and service offerings and new product/technology introductions • Influence systems interoperability, stability, and integration in collaboration with Consulting Services senior leadership

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university • Minimum 10 years of experience in the power generation and/or energy industry with global roles including responsibility for project management, client engagement and business development • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% • 3+ years of experience applying an in-depth understanding of data center power supply requirements, electrical demand profiles, and grid integration risks • Clear understanding of hyperscaler and co-locator development cycles, including growth trajectories and infrastructure deployment gaps • 3+ years of experience in power and energy systems engineering, specifically techno-economic system analysis and high-IBR penetration • Proficiency in systems planning for 100% decarbonization and advanced grid automation/control • Proficiency in cross-sector integration and complex cross-technology integration and power transfer capabilities • Proficiency in voltage and frequency stability, first-swing dynamics, sub-synchronous oscillations, and transient voltage recovery • Expertise in harmonics, system transients, insulation coordination, and series-compensated transmission • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Advanced degree in electrical, mechanical or electric power engineering or business administration (MBA) from an accredited university or college • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills • Established professional relationships and credibility with industry executives, CEOs, CTOs, government leaders and officials • Industry leadership and collaboration experience • Recognized global industry stature and leadership in ESIG, GPST, IEEE, IEC, or CIGRE • Extensive understanding of control concepts for grid-interactive power systems equipment and controls, including automatic voltage regulators, power system stabilizers, SVC, STATCOM, TCSC, and HVDC • Extensive understanding of power electronic hardware and controls for utility and industrial applications, including SVC, TCSC, STATCOM, HVDC, wind turbines, solar and energy storage inverters, variable speed pumped hydropower storage, and motor drives • Experience planning and executing electrical and mechanical tests in thermal and renewable power plants to meet grid code and interconnection requirements • Experience validating utility planning models per NERC and other global jurisdiction requirements • Extensive understanding and experience in utility transmission and generation techno-economic planning, interconnection and operations practices, grid code compliance, markets and regulatory standards • Technical leadership in creating winning proposals and managing delivery of large projects • Experience using and modeling in GE PSLF, PSS/e, DigSilent Power Factory, GE MAPS, GE MARS, Plexos, Promod, Tara, TSAT, PSCAD, and Python • LEAN skillsets/certification
