📋 Description

• Plan and execute outbound global logistics functions to GE’s end customer • Monitor purchase orders and coordinate with buyers, vendors, freight forwarders, and carriers • Ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery of goods • Monitor and rectify import shipment exceptions • Serve as customer point of contact for project logistics and support the GE Project Manager • Maintain project plans and freight estimates for customer project communication • Conduct RFQs for internal stakeholders • Develop logistics strategies to optimize cycle cost within the baseline budget • Manage and report full project lifecycle budget/EAC • Support total landed cost logistics quotes throughout the ITO/OTR cycle • Support logistics cost ITO strategies involving forecasting, market data, and infrastructure data • Maintain project logistics risks and opportunities • Identify and implement best-cost solutions for transport mode, route, carrier selection, container utilization, and consolidations • Manage ocean, air, and over-the-road freight and improve material flow • Maintain shipment schedules and distribute shipment status reports • Monitor and maintain in-transit inventory reports • Oversee inbound container receipts, direct imports, and timely customer delivery • Monitor and track demurrage and detention charges • Record shipment details and manage receivers using applicable tools • Ensure accuracy of commercial invoices and packing slips and reconcile purchase order variances • Maintain document flows, including commercial invoices, packing slips, B/L, COO, and other regulatory documents • Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers to resolve issues • Assist with regional transport programs, audits, record keeping, and reporting • Assist in managing shipment and customs activities for import services • Assist in negotiating domestic freight contracts • Communicate cost changes, shipment issues, and supply concerns • Maintain relationships with carriers and service providers • Collect transport drawings and provide them to carriers • Track KPIs, facilitate reviews, and drive corrective actions • Coordinate quality-related escalations, CoPQs, and RCAs and recommend sustained-improvement solutions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college OR Bachelor's Degree completion by early 2027 • 5+ years of experience in logistics, project management, or supply chain function • International logistics experience, including transportation, customs, supply chain standards, geographical concerns, free trade agreements, and accreditives • Demonstrated interaction and execution of transactions utilizing roll on/roll off, break bulk, specialized truck, and rail transport • Advanced English required; ideally one other language • Leadership and facilitation skills • Ability to work independently • Comfort in matrixed cross-functional environments • Demonstrated ability to deliver results • Ability to multitask and prioritize • Problem-solving and communication skills • Planning and organizational skills • Competence in MS Excel and PowerPoint • Open to remote/hybrid US only • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
