📋 Description

• Collect information from site, Project Engineering Manager, logistics, and Centers of Excellence • Prepare installation/maintenance synopses and transport lashing drawings • Define methods for handling, transport, support, erection, and maintenance of turbine and generator components • Imagine erection and maintenance operations according to site procedures and EHS rules • Perform calculations and design tools according to CoE Design Practices • Represent the Tooling Center of Excellence before project teams, systems integrators, project engineers, supply chain, and construction and commissioning teams • Coordinate calculation and design of the full tooling list while meeting planning, cost, and safety requirements • Design specific tools, including 3D models, calculation notes, fabrication drawings, and instruction manuals • Identify machine access requirements • Identify and specify special packing requirements • Prepare lifting drawings • Stamp tooling designs for North American projects when required • Push synopsis BOMs into the GE product life management system • Participate in design of tools or equipment components to implement tooling requirements • Serve as the site team's entry point for support requests • Coordinate synopsis tasks with subcontractors or technicians • Identify standard tools available on the market • Execute awarded project work in the North America region with focus on design validation

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor degree from an accredited university in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent knowledge or experience • Significant experience (>5 years) in mechanical design • P. Eng stamp/seal required for the state of WA and/or AR • US stamp mandatory • Experience in design of lifting equipment and access platform or significant experience on site • Good knowledge of CAD and calculation • Excellent written and verbal English skills for international communications • Proven ability to work with cross-functional and global teams • Strong interpersonal skills • Proven leadership skills • Knowledge of Hydropower Plant products (desired) • Experience on project management (desired) • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
