📋 Description

• Lead end-to-end execution of substation projects, including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, installation, testing, and commissioning • Manage project scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk in alignment with contract requirements and GE Grid Solutions processes • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and execution plans • Identify risks and opportunities and implement mitigation or recovery plans • Serve as the primary project interface for electrical and mechanical engineering disciplines • Ensure compliance with customer specifications, utility standards, NEC, IEEE, and applicable regulatory requirements • Support technical decision-making related to transformers, switchgear, breakers, protection and control, and HV/MV systems • Act as the primary point of contact for utility grid and data center EPC customers • Lead customer meetings, progress reviews, and issue-resolution discussions • Coordinate internal teams and external partners, including EPCs, subcontractors, suppliers, and OEMs • Manage project financial performance, including cost control, forecasting, billing milestones, and margin protection • Support change management, claims, and contract administration with commercial teams • Ensure compliance with GE policies, contractual obligations, and internal controls • Ensure adherence to GE EHS policies and promote a strong safety culture • Drive quality execution according to GE standards, utility requirements, and project-specific quality plans

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering • Minimum 5 years of project management experience • Experience executing projects for U.S. utilities or data centers • Working knowledge of substation systems, project lifecycle execution, and engineering coordination • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship • Familiarity with U.S. utility practices, standards, and interconnection requirements • Experience with GE Grid Solutions products or similar OEM/EPC environments • Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, and SAP • Strong leadership and decision-making skills in a matrix organization • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously • Results-driven mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities • Willingness to travel domestically for customer meetings and site activities • PMP or other project management certification preferred • Experience supporting utility substation projects, data center customers, or large industrial power infrastructure preferred
