📋 Description

• Serve as the critical bridge between the Sourcing organization and Engineering/Product Design teams • Drive structural cost reduction across the product lifecycle • Partner with Engineering and Commodity teams to integrate cost control principles into product and project development • Lead cross-functional workshops to generate cost-reduction ideas, including material substitution, design simplification and manufacturing process improvements • Manage end-to-end execution of cost-out projects • Track progress, mitigate risks and ensure savings are realized and validated through the P&L • Utilize Should-Cost modeling to establish target costs for components and assemblies • Provide data-backed insights during negotiations and design reviews • Monitor and report cost-out performance metrics, including project pipeline value, realized savings and margin improvement • Maintain a dashboard to track project status and savings realization • Engage key suppliers in value engineering initiatives with the Sourcing team • Develop and standardize the cost-out process • Ensure consistent methodologies for opportunity identification and financial validation • Deliver annualized savings, maintain project pipeline health and improve cost-reduction forecasting accuracy

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or a related discipline; or significant equivalent experience in sourcing, manufacturing engineering, value engineering, product costing or procurement • 5–8+ years of experience in product costing, value engineering, procurement, or product design • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including forgings, machining, investment casting, fabrication and integrations • Proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, particularly in resolving technical disagreements between design requirements and cost constraints • Strong financial acumen and ability to translate technical design changes into tangible P&L impacts • Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with strict timelines and financial targets • Master's degree in a technical or business discipline preferred • 8+ years of sourcing experience for power generation products preferred, preferably focused on plant equipment accessories (MSD, BOP, HRSG) • Lean tool set experience, including A3, VSM and problem solving • Strong quantitative and analytical skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills • Experience with SAP, Smartsheet and Tableau • Legally authorized to work in the United States
