⢠Provide day-to-day EHS support for service and large project site activities across Hydro in the United States ⢠Develop relationships with operational and project managers to drive EHS culture ⢠Support sites in complying with regulatory, contractual, and GE requirements ⢠Conduct audits, inspections, and reviews to identify deficiencies and drive improvements ⢠Manage the chemical Safety Data Sheet databank for the United States ⢠Ensure safety rules, procedures, and protective equipment requirements are followed ⢠Support continuous improvement of EHS programs across sites ⢠Support hiring, manage, and develop site-based EHS staff ⢠Review and improve programs for confined spaces, lifting operations, high voltage, working at heights, and other high-hazard operations ⢠Support accreditation across assigned sites ⢠Drive use of digital programs and tools across assigned sites ⢠Conduct tender reviews and assess EHS requirements and risks ⢠Evaluate safety and environmental risks during bidding and project work ⢠Investigate accidents and hazardous situations, identify trends and causes, and follow up on corrective and preventative actions ⢠Deliver EHS training to assigned site personnel ⢠Ensure internal and external EHS reporting is completed accurately and on time
⢠Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related EHS field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience ⢠Professional certification such as CHST, ASP or CSP preferred ⢠8+ years EHS experience, with exposure to several EHS areas in a Projects or Services environment ⢠Knowledge of Oil and Gas, Electrification or Energy business ⢠Knowledge of OSHA and state-specific regulatory requirements ⢠Documented 24 hours of safety-related education for each of the last three to five years ⢠OSHA 30 or higher within the last 5 years preferred ⢠Ability to work on government projects ⢠Ability to travel up to 70%, as required ⢠Proven track record working and managing field service sites ⢠Fluent in English with excellent oral and written communication skills ⢠Strong leadership and influencing skills ⢠Demonstrated ability to manage multiple issues with competing priorities ⢠High energy and self-starter attitude ⢠Six Sigma Greenbelt trained/certified (GE Employees only) ⢠Practical experience in risk elimination, ergonomics, and project management related to high-hazard tasks ⢠Trainer qualifications in CPR/First Aid/AED, Confined Space Rescue, and Forklift Trainer topics ⢠EM 385 ⢠Legally authorized to work in the United States ⢠Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
